Tower Surgical Partners (TSP) is an independent ASC acquisition and management company specializing in promoting the development of new procedural technology (NPT) in the ambulatory surgery market. With specialized experience in ambulatory surgical center development in notoriously challenging certificate-of-need markets, Joseph Alexander manages TSP’s existing ambulatory surgery centers and expansion efforts throughout the United States. In conjunction with surgery center development, Joseph leads administrative office development and collaborates with clinical operations to establish physician practice locations. Before joining TSP, Joseph worked for a leading Washington, D.C., public affairs firm, where he specialized in capital markets and health care advocacy. Joseph earned his bachelor’s degree in political economy from Saint Anselm College and is currently an MBA candidate at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business. 

Nilofar (Nili) Kazi

Nilofar (Nili) Kazi

Nili Kazi currently leads CIGC’s education efforts, planning and executing outreach programsfocus groups, presentations and social media video events. She is integral to CIGC’s research teamconducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis and quality control on surgical outcomes and other factors. She prepares study materials for submission to peer-reviewed journals, granting agencies and foundations, and performs comprehensive literature reviews of outside studies on gynecological disorders and procedures for internal staff. She assists the marketing team with communication projects on multiple platforms. Nili also managed the startup of the CIGC Wellness Center, planning the programs and overseeing the recruitment of team members, among other roles. Prior to her education and outreach role, Nili served in two different positions in the CIGC research department and has worked on health education and women’s empowerment projects in Peru, East Timor and India. She earned her bachelor’s degree in public health science from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Evan joined Tower Surgical Partners in 2019 as in-house counsel.  He is responsible for contract review, drafting proposed employment contracts, re-negotiations of contracts with vendors, facility-patient document review, patient collections, and litigation.  Evan collaborates with all departments for the most effective proliferation of implementing new processes, procedures, and forms.  He also coordinates efforts with outside counsel to resolve issues for TSP and its entities.  Evan has quickly applied his nearly twenty years of legal experience in a variety of fields, and greatly improved TSP’s overall operations.

Wielding both analytic and creative instincts, Chris Madeira brings 26 years of digital, traditional and e-commerce marketing and advertising experience to his pivotal role with TSP. With expertise in SEO/keyword methodology, forecasting, performance measurement and financial management, he has increased revenue and strengthened brand presence for B2C and B2B organizations across a wide swath of industries, including health caredefense and government.  Chris co-leads TSP’s team of content and advertising specialists and steers its support of the company’s patient care and business development initiatives. His facility with and deployment of the most efficient software and technology helps maximize internal productivity and external client user experiences.  Chris achieved a bachelor’s degree in government from Skidmore College and studied at the Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems.

For more than 20 years, Michele O’Gurk has steered the financial operations of companies in the health care, IT and financial sectors. Her adroitness with business operations, asset risk management, revenue cycle management and procedural efficiencies has helped her employers control costs and maximize profits while maintaining regulatory compliances.  Among Michele’s other skills are forecasting, financial due diligence, tax compliance and global stakeholder engagement.  Michele earned two degrees from Seton Hall University: an M.B.A. and a bachelor’s degree in finance with an economics concentration. She also studied in England at Corpus Christi College—Oxford University.

Mysba Regis honed the art of crafting, promoting and analyzing the impact of direct-to-consumer marketing and communications at a slate of for-profit and nonprofit health care organizations in the Washington, DC, metro area. She co-leads TSP’s multidisciplinary marketing team, guiding public and media relations, written and visual content creation and their strategic deployment on social mediawebsite and other patient-facing platforms, all underpinned with measurable ROI.   In overseeing brand-building efforts, Mysba excels at deploying the power of storytelling to connect with consumers and leave them with memorable impressions. She collaborates with physicians and physician liaisons, TSP research and business development leaders, and prospective, current and former patients to discern values-based marketing strategies that foster client confidence, trust and new avenues of corporate growth.   Mysba earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and psychology from Virginia Wesleyan College.

Backed by more than 20 years as a researcher and statistical analyst, Louise van der Does leads a team in conducting quantitative and qualitative research for TSP. She focuses on developing innovative statistical approaches and productive partnerships between clinicians, researchers and patients. Through evidence-based research, the research team highlights the surgical outcomes of the innovative surgical techniques used by CIGC surgeons. To date, the team has published more than 30 publications, including seven manuscripts in top peer-reviewed journals.   Prior to joining TSP, she was one of several research directors athe Council for a Strong Americawhere she evaluated studies on the long-term crime-prevention impact of investments in children and produced well-publicized reports for policymakers. At the Department of Homeland Security, she synthesized data from multiple sources for prosecutorial efforts and was twice honored for Outstanding Service in the Public Sector.    Louise holds a Ph.D. in policy analysis, with a concentration in statistics, and a master’s degree in justice, law and society, both from American University. She received her bachelor’s degree in intercultural studies from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

Mimi joined TSP in 2016 and leads a team of patient advocate coordinators (PAC) who are the first point of contact for new patients. The PAC team establishes the relationship between new patients and the practice, providing a seamless process. Mimi works closely with physicians, office staff, and the marketing department to develop scalable direct-to patient programs, including a successful travel program, which allows the PAC team to convert leads from around the world to consultations with advanced-trained laparoscopic specialists. Prior to joining TSP, Mimi worked in a management position for two of the top leading luxury retailers in NYC for 8 years where she focused on providing excellent customer service, attaining the sales and profitability goal for the companies. Mimi earned her Bachelors in Business Administration from University of Maryland, College Park.  Outside of TSP, Mimi enjoys spending time with her family and going for long runs.
